ARRIS CHP Max™

The ARRIS Converged Headend Platform Max5000 provides MSOs with the lowest CAPEX in the industry for increased bandwidth capacity, subscriber device count, and network reach -- without laying fiber. Flexibility of configuration, low price, and high performance allow the CHP 5000 solution to cost-effectively and reliably scale the capacity of any HFC or fiber network. With the industry’s highest density and longest reach, the CHP Max5000 lets operators respond flexibly and with minimal CAPEX to growth in subscriber penetration and changes in subscriber demand.

The Max5000 simplifies operations with converged hub, headend, and digital transport that provide performance-leading, multi-bandwidth management of up to 16 wavelengths on a single fiber to a maximum distance of 65 kilometers. In addition to superb density and reach, the CHP family of products offers highest quality engineering and performance. ARRIS ongoing investment in R&D in fiber optic science yields products with the least signal degradation and the highest service quality available today. This means that MSOs can deploy the ARRIS CHP solution not just to add network capacity but to support HSD, VPN, or other business services that require speed, quality of signal, and reach the network could not otherwise deliver.

For ease of operation and high reliability, Max5000 solutions can be managed locally or remotely and can be configured with hot-redundancy that supports hitless failovers and upgrades. CHP system components are engineered for maximum life-span and ease of installation and for minimum MTTR. All Max5000 solutions are supported by ARRIS 24x7x365 customer service. With the Max5000 family of products, operators cost-effectively and reliably roll out network service improvements and quality-of-experience enhancements that keep customers -- and investors -- satisfied.

ARRIS Opti Max™ Nodes

For operators facing fiber exhaustion, the ARRIS Opti Max family of high-performance, multi-wavelength, segmentable optical nodes provide a flexible, cost-effective migration path to expanded capacity without laying additional fiber. With strand, wall, or cabinet mount configurations, the Opti Max family readily integrates with legacy HFC architectures and equipment to protect the MSO’s investment while delivering next-generation functionality and price-performance. Opti Max is a full-featured product family offering high port-to-port isolation for superb qualityand segmentation options from 2 x 2 to full 4 x 4 for flexibility and growth.

The modular design of the Opti Max segmentable and field-upgradable nodes provides a “pay as you grow” scalability, enabling MSOs to deploy minimal configurations today and expand easily as subscriber demand increases. The Opti Max family upgrades many legacy amplifiers such as C-COR and Phillips and the Opti Max optical lid upgrades provide a low-cost way to quickly enhance service or to segment coax subscriber groups. Opti Max nodes are engineered for a fast, easy, connectorized installation: no special fiber equipment and no extensive engineering evaluations are needed. Opti Max models provide industry-leading segmentation on a single fiber and offer power and optical redundancy options for the carrier-grade reliability required by VoIP and data applications.

Flex Max® Amplifiers

The ARRIS family of Flex Max amplifiers provides a range of options to flexibly and cost-effectively amplify RF signals over long distances, to boost signals so that outputs can be split to feed multiple paths, and to provide high outputs to extend distribution lines. Operators enhancing networks for new advanced services get the lowest cost-per-subscriber and the least service disruption by simply upgrading legacy amplifiers with drop-in Flex Max products. The Flex Max family combines advanced technology with installer-friendly features for superior reliability and cost-performance plus minimal installation expense and risk.

Flex Max drop-in line extender amps reuse legacy housings -- and existing amplifier spacing in most applications -- to inexpensively improve reliability, performance, and serviceability. Flex Max bridger amplifiers offer user-configurable outputs, an optional 90 degree access port for efficient underground installation, and drop-in RF modules for a 1 GHz upgrade to legacy 750 and 870 MHz equipment or for sparing. Flex Max amplifiers run on remote or local power, have field-replaceable power supplies, employ standards-based element management, and are based on a space-saving, low-power-consumption design. Full parts and labor warranty plus 24x7x365 best-in-class customer support enable the Flex Max family to deliver carrier-grade network services cost-effectively.

FTTMax™ 1000 RFoG ONU

Cable operators wanting to offer bi-directional, triple-play services to smaller or medium-sized business and high-end residential users often find it difficult to cost-effectively and quickly extend their existing infrastructure while achieving a targeted Return on Investment. The ARRIS FTTMax RF-Over-Glass (RFoG) solution easily, incrementally, and economically delivers advanced upstream and downstream DOCSIS voice, video, and data services over a fiber-based infrastructure that resides alongside their existing HFC networks – with minimal changes to their headend and field equipment.

Compliant with emerging SCTE RFoG standards, the feature-rich FTTMax RFoG solution delivers industry-leading performance and flexibility with full 1 GHz bandwidth capacity, multi wavelength technology, field optical amplifiers for longer distances, and RFoG ONUs with optional PON pass-through port for running high speed data services. Operations are enhanced with optical AGC for plug-and-play transmissions, burst-mode return-path transmission to prevent unwanted RF signals from degrading upstream performance and low noise return receivers for optimal signal quality.
